New Toys

Wow, 2 new toys in 2 days! Must be Christmas. It all started when my wireless headphones died. I have had this set for 5 years. I wear them almost everyday while I work. I can listen to music, TV, books, whatever, it makes the time go by so much faster.
As you can see the new set is about 1/3 the size of the old ones. So much easier to wear. These are from Radio Shack on closeout for $39.99. A real deal!
My next new toy came as a total surprise. It had been on back order from Checker for so long I almost forgot I ordered it. Also in the picture is the new spray starch “everyone” is raving about. Including me.
I prewashed this fabric and used the starch and my new iron for the first time. It’s going to take some getting use to. Leaving the iron down. Those little feet are so cute. And it’s heavier than my other one which I like.
These fabrics are for my oldest grandson, Dylan, who is ten. He plays all the above sports. I’m thinking of doing the Turning Twenty Again. That pattern would showcase the fabrics well, don’t you think? And would be quick.
Did I tell you I’m cutting out 3 quilts to take to a retreat this month? I’ve been invited to Fern Hill Quilt Retreat with 7 other ladies. I’m new to this group so I will have to be on my best behavior. I am in charge of the chocolate so I should have a little edge.
We are going to visit the grandkids this weekend. My son built a new house this summer which we haven’t seen yet. I need to check out my granddaughter’s bedroom to see what color quilt she needs for her bed (my 3rd quilt for the retreat). Jeez, hope the quilter has time to get them done by Christmas. Funny aren’t I?
